PHILOSOPHY

Tim Readman Planning Services works by a Programme Delivery Method that forms the basis of his Planning Philosophy

Understand.

Understand the project by meeting the team, reading and evaluating the documents and becoming familiar with the project and its critical path at an early stage. Understand the key elements of the job through asking people the right questions. Establish the desired final outcomes.

Think it. Believe it.

Establish the work breakdown structure, build the activities, duration’s and logic of the project network. Establish the critical path from the detail to the global activities. Every task activity has a predecessor and a successor. Apply coding, resources, mapping, 3d, 4d planning tailored to the project requirements.

Milestone.

Establish key and interface milestones for the project.

Own it.

Take steps to plan. Create understanding with end-user to own their project.

Do it.

Work to do it, record it and chase the key deliverables, key milestones and interface milestones, what-ifs, amendment of logic.

Re-do it.

Review new knowledge and re-evaluate for the ultimate goal. Maintain baselines.

Deliver it.

Planning drives the successful and efficient completion of the project.

Forensic.

Have good records and a good logical programme.

SERVICES

COMPANY & CONSTRUCTION PLANNING SOLUTIONS

PROJECT PLANNING

Project planning involves maintaining the time line of the project, updating the progress, problem solving, ensuring that every facet of the building process has been planned well ahead so that workers can do their jobs safely and efficiently.

TENDER PLANNING

Analyse and determine the most efficient construction time and methodology for the tender submission and allocate resources as necessary for building and civil projects.

DELIVERY METHODS & ALTERNATIVES

Delivery methods can vary from project to project. Some methods require planning services for project commencement or tender only, while other projects require planning services throughout the entire project – from construction management to final commissioning.

FORENSIC PLANNING

Every project is a contract and unfortunately delays can result in disputes which require forensic planning to defend or prove extension of time claims. Tim has recent experience in both of these areas.
